Grow.

The Upper Grand Family Organization consists of 32 family physicians, all with primary care practices in the community, and providing care at the newly opened Groves Memorial Community Hospital situated between Fergus and Elora. Physicians work alongside two full-time OBGYNs, two General Surgeons and two Internal Medicine Specialists.

Centre Wellington's population and housing developments are growing steadily.  Situated 20 minutes north of Guelph, and 30 minutes south-west of Waterloo makes this an ideal community to work and live-in.

Our Physicians.

Our rural family physicians are able to experience opportunities with a wide variety of clinical experiences that are not available to their urban counterparts.

All of our physicians work in a group community primary practice as well as participate in hospital work - everything from inpatient, emergency, and obstetrical care.

Add to that teaching medicals students/residents, supporting long-term care homes, oncology, providing surgical assistance - there are endless possibilities for you to shape your own career.

New Groves Hospital.

Nestled between the communities of Elora and Fergus is the new 152,000 sq ft. Groves Memorial Community Hospital that backs on to the Elora Cataract Trailway and offers a modern, bright, healing environment.

Each hallway has floor to ceiling windows allowing as much light in as possible. As much as the building features are great, the space and services are even better. Both the Medical Staff space and Medical Education space have increased in our new facility and the new hospital uses SMART technology systems throughout.

We have two identical state-of-the-art operating rooms, three labour and delivery rooms (to help with our approx. 500 deliveries/year) and a brand new Emergency Department. With an entirely new facility, each department is equipped with the resources to provide exceptional care.
